Anne is a moulting kitten: Chemotherapy is the culprit
My darling wife Anne is moulting. Her hair is falling out in clumps, the ravages of three weeks of intensive chemotherapy and radiation treatments.
Our home is sprinkled with a thick layer of her hair, just as it is after we visit our son and daughter-in-law with their lovely but fur-shedding cats.
Anne is a kitten. I have always called her Kit.
Make a list of what you love about kittens. That’s how I love Anne.
Anne is suffering from glioblastoma, an incurable, aggressive form of brain cancer. Her life prognosis is 12 to 18 months.

But she continues to purr as well as to moult.
She is both playful and distracted.
Anne is my Kit. My moulting, laughing, suffering, distracted, playful, mellow Kit.
Your friend,
Robert
