Glioblastoma Awareness Day: July 15, 2026

Today is  Glioblastoma Awareness Day intended to raise awareness of glioblastoma (GBM), one of the most complex, deadly, and treatment-resistant cancers.

As many of you know, I lost my sweet, courageous partner, Anne Schlenker McBryde, to this scourge on May 3, 2026, after a year-long battle with the implacable GBM dragon.

You can explore more GBM community member stories and GBM resources by clicking on these links.

And you can inspire others to take action when you share information about glioblastoma or start a fundraising page, such as my page here:

My caregiver story was told by a journalist here:

  • Grey Leaves: For those actively living with GBM.
  • White Leaves: For those who have passed away (Angel Day or date of passing can be included)
  • Red Leaves: For the families Slay Society has supported on their journey

You may submit the loved one’s first name or full name, and you’re welcome to include any dates of significance (such as diagnosis date, Angel Day, birthday, etc.).

Every dollar raised helps continue providing financial support to caregivers and families navigating this devastating diagnosis.

Let’s fill the trees with love, strength, and remembrance. Together, members of the GBM community Slay One Dragon at a time and never forget those who remain a source of inspiration every single every day.

Thank you for honouring a chosen warrior and standing with the GBM community.

Robert
